Fans look forward to Wolves in 2012

| From: Alex

I had the opportunity to catch up with a wide array of fans at the Target Center recently; I was curious to find out what they were most excited about in the new year and what any predictions might be. Read on:

"It's good to have a new coach and a new scheme moving forward. I'm most looking forward to seeing Ricky in 2012, like most people, because his court vision seems impeccable. It's good to have a point guard with a pass-first mentality." -- Joel Hanson, Winona

"The way that they've been going so far is unbelievable. I hope they can continue the run they're on right now. Fans are appreciating the uptempo (pace), and they're into the games now." -- Loren Dennin, Chanhassen

"I've been a fan for 20 years, and I'm a basketball nut. I'm a Kevin Love fan, and he's the guy that's the building block for 2012 and the future... he's going to get us to the playoffs and beyond. I like his work ethic, and the fact that he's a total team player. He takes the shots he's supposed to take, and doesn't turn the ball over. Kevin is a hard-worker and is trying to improve all the time." -- Dick Spelz, Minnetonka

"I'm looking forward to a lot more wins and a lot more fun games to watch in 2012. I'm always excited to watch Kevin Love, and the last couple games have gotten me excited about (Ricky) Rubio. Rubio has some great passing ability, and he can see the floor. I've been a season ticket holder for 16 years. It's always fun, but it's more fun when they win!" -- Robin Joel, Minneapolis

"It has been great to see some new players give some hope to the season and a good year. I'm looking forward to making the playoffs and getting the energy back in the Target Center. Kevin Love is really fun to watch; he never seems to give up. I love his energy and his confidence." -- Emily Stacken, Minnetonka

"I think I'm looking forward to the new players the most. Kevin Love is coming back, and he's an all-star, but they added Rubio, J.J., (Derrick) Williams... they have a great nucleus of younger players, and they will be a lot of fun to watch." -- Brandon Bussler, Chanhassen

"Ricky is really good, and he adds a lot to the team. He's my idol when it comes to basketball... I think he's got a good shot at Rookie of the Year." -- Abby Ogden, Rogers

"I am looking forward to seeing more of Ricky Rubio and the other rookies in 2012. I hope to see the team win some more games this year, and I think they will win a little over half of their games." -- Fuad Ahmad, Minneapolis

"The win over the Mavs was awesome. It was the most energy I've seen them play with in a long time. I feel like it was a different team than we've seen for the last few years. In 2012, I'm most excited to see (Ricky) Rubio. You can see the difference between when he's on the floor and when he isn't. I think we have gotten faster and we can run a lot more now." -- Ryan Clark, Minnetonka
